Requirements

  • PhD required in a relevant scientific or technical discipline, preferably biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, medical physics, physics, imaging sciences, or a closely related quantitative imaging field.
  • Significant experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or clinical research industry supporting imaging components of clinical trials.
  • Direct experience with imaging studies and imaging biomarkers in MASH, obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disease indications.
  • Deep understanding of imaging biomarker development, quantitative image analysis, imaging endpoint strategy, and clinical trial design.
  • Experience applying advanced imaging technologies, image analysis methodologies, and emerging imaging techniques to metabolic disease research.
  • Strong expertise in imaging modalities used in metabolic disease clinical trials, including methods for assessing liver fat, fibrosis, body composition, and related metabolic endpoints.
  • Experience supporting business development activities, including client engagement, scientific consultation, proposal development, and bid defense meetings.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent scientific communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific imaging expertise to commercial development, operations, and project teams throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted scientific advisor to sponsors, supporting study design, protocol review, imaging endpoint strategy, and solution development.
  • Lead scientific strategy for imaging components of clinical trials focused on MASH, obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic diseases.
  • Advise on imaging biomarkers, quantitative imaging methods, advanced technologies, and emerging approaches relevant to metabolic disease research.
  • Support business development through client meetings, capabilities presentations, RFPs, RFIs, proposal development, and bid defense activities.
  • Represent the organization at scientific conferences, industry forums, and working groups through presentations, publications, and imaging standardization initiatives.
