Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, management, or related field.
- 8–10 years of professional contracting experience supporting federal clients.
- Expertise across the full range of federal contract actions including solicitations, awards, modifications, and negotiations.
- Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- Knowledge of Procurement Administrative Lead Time (PALT).
- Experience supporting federal proposal evaluations including price/cost analysis.
- Knowledge of federal acquisition processes including requirements development and market research.
- Experience preparing acquisition documentation such as Determinations and Findings, Market Research Reports, and Award Memorandums.
- Experience using contract writing systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support federal acquisition activities independently with limited government oversight.
- Provide recommendations on acquisition plans, procurement approaches, contracting strategies, and milestone schedules.
- Conduct market research and surveys to identify potential sources and effective contract vehicles.
- Prepare Independent Government Cost Estimates using historical data and current market values.
- Coordinate with program office personnel, CORs, and Contracting Officers throughout the acquisition process.
- Support the preparation of solicitations, amendments, and contract awards within contract writing systems.
- Conduct price, cost, and technical proposal analysis during evaluations.
- Assist with contract administration activities including performance reviews, modifications, and contract closeout.
