Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in senior organizational leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state policy development and advocacy processes.
- Proven track record aligning programs and operations with organizational strategy.
- Experience working in advocacy, government, public policy, or research organizations preferred.
- Commitment to values-based leadership and collaborative, inclusive people management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent professional judgment.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholder sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive vision into actionable goals and manage complex, high-rigor environments.
- Comfortable working with results-based accountability frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Act as a thought partner to the Chief Strategy Officer to execute strategic vision and foster organizational alignment.
- Translate organizational vision into clear priorities, workplans, and measurable outcomes.
- Manage strategic projects and initiatives within the Governing for All portfolio.
- Supervise staff and build internal processes that enhance efficiency, communication, and accountability.
- Define progress metrics, monitor project deliverables, and support team goal attainment.
- Support organizational growth through strategic funding and program expansion efforts.
- Represent the organization to enhance visibility and influence.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and new partner organizations.
