- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospice or home health intake. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with EMR systems.
Requirements
- Active LPN or RN license in good standing (multi-state or Compact license preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospice or home health intake.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with EMR systems.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in navigating multiple systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, private workspace.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary backup Intake Nurse for all company markets during staff PTO or leaves.
- Manage overflow referrals and workload during high-volume periods.
- Review and process referral information in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Verify Medicare coverage and benefit information.
- Coordinate and schedule clinical staff for cases using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Develop and deliver standardized training for new intake staff.
- Partner with the Compliance Department to support quality assurance and process improvements.
