Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
- Previous experience serving as CIO, CISO, or equivalent executive role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting CMMC Level 2 or NIST SP 800-171 compliance programs.
- Experience operating within DoD, federal contractor, or defense-industrial-base environments.
- Deep working knowledge of Microsoft 365 GCC High, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel, and Intune.
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management.
- Preferred: Successfully supported an organization through CMMC certification.
- Preferred: Experience participating in DoD cybersecurity assessments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with DFARS 252.204-7012, 7019, 7020, and 7021.
- Preferred: Certifications including CISSP, CISM, CGRC, CCSP, CCP, or CCA.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated CIO for all CMMC-related activities.
- Act as executive owner of systems that process, store, or transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- Provide executive oversight of Horizon's CMMC Level 2 program, including policies, plans, and artifacts.
- Lead cybersecurity risk assessments and manage corrective action plans.
- Review and approve key compliance documentation including the System Security Plan (SSP) and Risk Assessment Reports.
- Interface with C3PAOs, compliance consultants, and federal customer representatives.
- Support preparation for and participation in mock, self-, and formal C3PAO assessments.
