Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or Accounting.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in compliance, regulatory, risk, payments, fintech, or banking.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise compliance programs in a senior executive or comparable leadership role.
  • Direct, hands-on experience building and operationalizing a PayFac compliance program from the ground up.
  • Expert knowledge of merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of payment industry regulations including PCI-DSS, NACHA, and card network rules.
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with sponsor banks, regulators, and auditors at the executive level.
  • Strong ability to design scalable compliance infrastructure within high-growth technology organizations.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills suitable for Board and investor reporting.
  • Strong analytical and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Preferred: JD, MBA, or advanced degree; professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, or CIPP.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead Finalsite’s enterprise-wide compliance and ethics strategy, governance, and risk framework.
  • Build and operationalize the Payment Facilitator (PayFac) compliance program from the ground up, including merchant underwriting and ongoing monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, NACHA, BSA/AML, OFAC, and card network requirements.
  • Act as primary liaison with sponsor/acquiring banks, regulators, and auditors.
  • Advise the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors on compliance, risk, and regulatory developments.
  • Oversee enterprise audits, investigations, and remediation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into new products and strategic initiatives.
