Requirements

8+ years of hands-on software engineering industry experience.
3 to 5 years of experience in people management, preferably leading senior engineers and managers.
Proven track record of technical leadership and software architecture at scale.
Experience with Ruby and Python.
Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals.
Strong communication and documentation skills for a remote-first environment.
Ability to think and execute strategically as a manager and hands-on leader.
Familiarity with React, MongoDB, SQL, and ElasticSearch (nice to have).
Experience with data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, and Looker (nice to have).
Prior experience within Sales Tech (nice to have).

Responsibilities

Define, set, and adhere to team goals and expectations.
Drive a culture of excellence, learning, and fun.
Improve development and management processes within Apollo engineering.
Collaborate with engineering leadership, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver high-quality software.
Partner with the GTM team and participate in customer calls.
Shape and participate in key engineering decision-making processes.
Participate in sprint planning, software design, and code reviews.
Source and hire engineering candidates.
Manage on-call responsibilities sustainably.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship while balancing sizing, estimation, and technical direction.
