Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of finance leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position focused on revenue strategy, financial metrics, and transformation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Software/SaaS revenue recognition, particularly ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • CPA certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial finance or deal desk environments, including pricing, discounting, margin analysis, and deal economics.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Product functions.
  • Strong experience leading enterprise forecasting, including rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting sales organizations through deal desk operations and business development strategies.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, listening, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial finance partnership with Sales, Revenue Operations, Pricing & Packaging on deal structuring, discounting, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.
  • Serve as the executive leader for commercial finance and profitability management, providing financial insights, investment analysis, and business cases.
  • Establish and execute the strategic direction for revenue metrics, revenue transformation, commercial finance, pricing, and packaging.
  • Lead revenue transformation initiatives covering processes, systems, reporting, analytics, organizational design, deal desk operations, and revenue accounting.
  • Partner with executive leadership to improve strategic decision-making, financial visibility, and predictability.
  • Oversee deal desk operations, financial approvals, margin governance, customer expansion economics, and commercial process efficiency.
  • Establish strategic direction for revenue recognition methodology and ensure processes remain compliant with ASC 606 requirements.
  • Lead the commissions process in partnership with Revenue Operations and Sales.
