Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on professional experience in AML, financial crime, KYC/CDD, sanctions screening, fraud/disputes, or transaction surveillance.
- Experience within banking, fintech, payments, or money-services businesses.
- Working knowledge of FinCEN, FATF, and OFAC frameworks.
- Familiarity with SAR and CDD documentation standards.
- Strong ability to analyze complex cases and produce clear, concise, and defensible written rationales.
- Practical understanding of financial-crime investigation, customer-risk assessment, and escalation processes.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to apply structured evaluation criteria consistently.
- Advantageous: Experience with enhanced due diligence, entity ownership analysis, transaction analytics, or SQL.
- Plus: CAMS, ACAMS, CFE, or another relevant professional certification.
- Ability to complete a timed practical assessment involving mock alerts and SAR drafting.
Responsibilities
- Adjudicate transaction-monitoring alerts using mock alert packets and draft SAR narratives.
- Review client onboarding and KYC documentation for completeness and inconsistencies.
- Analyze complex beneficial-ownership structures and apply relevant UBO thresholds.
- Evaluate sanctions and adverse-media screening results to determine true matches or false positives.
- Triage supervisory alert queues, card-fraud and dispute cases, and analyze potentially problematic communications.
- Review AI-generated financial-crime and compliance outputs for accuracy and regulatory reasoning.
- Provide structured written feedback to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated work products.
