Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or IT audit.
- At least 5 years of experience leading risk, control, compliance, or governance programs.
- 10+ years of experience within banking, financial services, FinTech, or other regulated tech environments.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing AI governance or responsible AI practices.
- Technical fluency in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI risks.
- Strong knowledge of frameworks including NIST, SCF, ISO, COSO, COBIT, FFIEC, and related financial-services standards.
- Experience using GRC or comparable risk management platforms (e.g., AuditBoard/Optro).
- Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGRC, IAPP AIGP).
- Ability to drive accountability and facilitate discussions across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mature the enterprise and technology risk management program, covering the full risk lifecycle.
- Provide strategic direction for risk frameworks, methodologies, and executive reporting.
- Develop and oversee AI, machine learning, and generative AI governance across the organization.
- Translate regulatory expectations and risk control frameworks into practical, actionable policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, security, privacy, and compliance functions.
- Identify and monitor key technology and operational risks against organizational risk appetite.
- Prepare defensible risk materials for boards, auditors, and regulators.
