Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building and scaling production-grade web applications.
- Proven experience formally leading or managing an engineering team with direct reports.
- Experience leading distributed teams across multiple countries and time zones.
- Strong full-stack background including API design, microservices, and database optimization.
- Proficiency with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and/or Go.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS).
- Expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL, including complex query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Experience with AI and data technologies such as RAG, LangChain, or PgVector.
- Ability to explain and defend technical trade-offs to senior leadership.
- Must be based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a distributed engineering pod across the US and Latin America.
- Evolve the software development lifecycle, integrating AI-assisted processes and Agile practices.
- Own the architecture of Next.js applications and lead the modernization of legacy Flask and jQuery systems.
- Design and implement RAG architectures and AI agent workflows for case management and reconciliation.
- Manage the data layer including PostgreSQL and MySQL query optimization and infrastructure scalability.
- Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to define technical scope and delivery plans.
