Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building high-scale, mission-critical backend systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, event-driven architectures, and consistency mechanisms.
- Experience with transactional systems such as billing, ledgers, or payment gateways.
- Strong proficiency in relational and NoSQL data models.
- Experience designing configurable policy or rules engines with versioning capabilities.
- Solid understanding of production reliability, SLOs, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to drive architecture across teams.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Firestore, Elasticsearch, Redis, Go, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with streaming platforms like Flink, Kafka Streams, or Beam.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Architect, redesign, and optimize backend data models, queries, indexes, and storage strategies.
- Own Elasticsearch reliability and scalability, including ingestion and performance optimization.
- Design highly available, low-latency distributed systems balancing enforcement with customer experience.
- Define clear data flows and integration boundaries across databases, caches, and APIs.
- Build comprehensive observability through metrics, tracing, and slow-query analysis.
- Establish and enforce strong unit, integration, and load testing standards.
- Design policy- and rules-driven systems supporting versioning and controlled rollouts.
- Lead cross-functional architectural initiatives through technical influence and design reviews.
