Requirements
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership in an accounts payable function.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and vendor management.
- Proficiency with accounting and payment processing systems (Sage Intacct and Tipalti preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex AP issues and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities
- Lead the full Accounts and Grants Payable cycle, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely transaction processing.
- Directly supervise AP staff, including assigning work, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
- Provide hands-on AP processing and operational support during high-volume periods or staff absences.
- Oversee the processing and review of grants and bills, including GL coding, approvals, and resolution of aging items.
- Supervise weekly payment runs and maintain strong internal controls and segregation of duties.
- Manage vendor and grantee data in Tipalti and ensure consistency across Sage, Salesforce, and other systems.
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and grantees regarding AP matters.
- Support financial close activities including expense accruals, reconciliations, and 1099 compliance.
- Identify and implement system improvements and document AP procedures to ensure scalability.
