Requirements
- 5+ years of total payroll experience.
- At least 3 years of direct U.S. payroll administration experience.
- Hands-on experience processing payroll in Rippling.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll taxes, wage deductions, and multi-state requirements.
- Experience with California or New York payroll highly preferred.
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and reconciliations.
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate complex payroll issues independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical reasoning.
- Proven ability to work independently within a remote, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Process regular and off-cycle U.S. payroll using Rippling.
- Validate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and deductions.
- Administer and reconcile contractor payments and EOR payroll.
- Manage multi-state payroll requirements, tax filings, and audit support.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Maintain and improve payroll SOPs and controls.
