Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or financial statement audit.
- At least 1 year of experience in a management or lead role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables, Index/Match).
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar enterprise-level ERP system.
- Experience troubleshooting complex reconciliations and performing financial flux analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to manage complex close deadlines.
- CPA is strongly preferred.
- Experience with a large public accounting firm is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities for cash, spend and expense, corporate card, accrual, and prepaid workstreams.
- Review monthly Spend and Expense and corporate credit card journal entries.
- Oversee the prepaid expense lifecycle, including amortization schedules.
- Review monthly accruals for completeness, accuracy, and support.
- Perform and review monthly bank, credit card, and prepaid account reconciliations.
- Maintain robust workpapers and documentation supporting audit trails.
- Manage team member(s) by setting expectations, reviewing work, and coaching.
- Identify and implement improvements for process breakdowns and accounting errors.
