Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or financial statement audit.
- At least 1 year in a management or lead role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables, Index/Match).
- Practical experience with NetSuite or a similar enterprise-level ERP system.
- Experience troubleshooting complex reconciliations and performing financial flux analysis.
- Ability to manage complex close deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience with a large public accounting firm preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities for cash, spend and expense, corporate card, accrual, and prepaid workstreams.
- Review monthly Spend and Expense and corporate credit card journal entries to ensure accurate mapping.
- Oversee the prepaid expense lifecycle, including amortization schedules and recognition.
- Review monthly accruals and investigate fluctuations to drive resolution.
- Perform and review monthly bank, credit card, and prepaid account reconciliations.
- Maintain robust workpapers and reconciliation documentation to support an audit trail.
- Manage team members by setting clear expectations and providing coaching.
- Identify process breakdowns and implement corrective actions for efficiency and control.
