Requirements
- B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in systems administration and end-user support.
- 2 to 3 years of experience managing IT/IS projects from concept to completion.
- 1 to 2 years of experience managing support services and data center operations, including budget management.
- Expertise in computer operating systems, server operating systems, and related applications.
- Extensive knowledge of computer security systems and procedures.
- Technical proficiency with IP networking, network hardware, and network security systems.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours to support remote staff and ensure system maintenance.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action and analyze complex issues.
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal IT and IS operations, including on-premises and cloud systems, networking, and SaaS-based corporate information systems.
- Supervise MSP delivery of end-user support services, participating in support activities and expediting resolution to maintain productivity.
- Manage asset, license, and support contract procurement and maintenance for hardware and software.
- Monitor system status and performance metrics, recommending upgrades and managing disaster recovery planning.
- Negotiate and implement vendor contracts in partnership with the vendor management team.
- Provide project leadership for the design, implementation, and validation of corporate security and infrastructure projects.
- Formulate and maintain the operational budget, including maintenance contracts and supply ordering.
- Maintain data security and integrity through backups, database management, and regular security auditing.
