Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience working within the Federal IT industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of government technology markets and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes.
- Proven success capturing both small- and large-scale DoD contracts.
- Experience with government contracting vehicles, including IDIQs.
- Established relationships within target Federal accounts.
- Strong business development, opportunity shaping, market analysis, and competitive intelligence skills.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling growth opportunities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for engaging senior stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with corporate growth goals and priorities.
- Identify, qualify, forecast, and capture new opportunities across Federal, DoD, and commercial markets.
- Shape customer requirements early in the acquisition lifecycle to align emerging needs with organizational capabilities.
- Manage the full business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through capture strategy, proposal support, and contract transition.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with Federal and DoD decision-makers, acquisition offices, customers, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop business cases and cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor government portals, notices, and solicitations to identify opportunities for Go/No-Go consideration.
