Requirements
- 6+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and/or Golang.
- Proven experience designing and operating high-traffic, customer-facing systems.
- Experience decomposing monoliths or extracting services.
- Solid experience designing APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar).
- Familiarity with transitioning event-driven service-oriented architectures using Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) in daily workflows.
- Experience working in a Cloud environment (AWS is a plus).
- Experience with message queues, such as AWS SQS (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services using PHP and Go.
- Drive the extraction of services from the monolith, defining clear ownership and migration paths.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to shape technical direction.
- Design and ship APIs optimized for agentic interfaces and automated workflows.
- Improve page speed and end-to-end performance in collaboration with frontend engineers.
- Contribute to high-level architectural decisions.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate code delivery and development.
