Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional data engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Current data engineering certification from a recognized cloud provider.
- Extensive hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Expertise in BigQuery, Databricks, data warehousing, data lakes, and data mesh patterns.
- Experience with batch and real-time streaming pipelines (e.g., CDC, structured streaming, Pub/Sub).
- Strong knowledge of software design principles, coding standards, and testing practices.
- Experience working within Agile or Lean development environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business and technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain end-to-end data pipelines in GCP and AWS cloud environments.
- Design scalable data warehousing, integration, and real-time streaming solutions using BigQuery and Databricks.
- Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, and monitoring to meet SLAs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data for analytics, AI, and application needs.
- Contribute to data architecture, modeling, security, and performance standards.
- Mentor senior engineers and conduct technical design reviews.
- Develop documentation, technical standards, and engineering guidance for the team.
