Requirements
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in foundation relations, institutional fundraising, or advancement.
- Demonstrated experience managing foundation relationships through cultivation, solicitation, reporting, and renewal.
- Excellent persuasive writing and editing skills for diverse funder-facing materials.
- Ability to synthesize complex policy, advocacy, and systems-change work into clear communication.
- Strong project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
- Sound judgment and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and disciplined data management.
- Commitment to health justice, racial equity, and organizational mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned portfolio of foundation funders and prospects through engagement plans, deadlines, and revenue goals.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with program officers as the primary day-to-day contact.
- Develop and execute stewardship and renewal strategies to deepen funder relationships.
- Lead the creation of proposals, concept papers, letters of inquiry, and presentations.
- Translate complex policy, advocacy, and research work into clear and compelling narratives.
- Coordinate internal proposal reviews, budgets, and submission timelines with program and finance colleagues.
- Manage grant reporting, compliance, and relationship milestones.
- Maintain Salesforce records, including projections and opportunity stages.
