Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience providing necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for clinical site contracting.
  • Detailed understanding of contract law principles (business, intellectual property, local tax, and stamp laws).
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate investigator grant budgets.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical product development process and CRO involvement.
  • Proficiency in English and local language (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated experience in independently training and mentoring staff.
  • Ability to effectively use automated systems and computerized applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements with study sites.
  • Negotiate investigator grant budgets, contractual terms, and conditions within approved parameters.
  • Identify and assess legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal functional departments to align site startup activities and contract negotiation with site activation timelines.
  • Achieve target cycle times for site activations.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Participate in country process improvement initiatives and act as a subject matter expert for contract training materials.
  • Perform quality reviews and peer feedback.
