Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, with significant internal communications expertise.
- Proven experience in organizations of 150+ employees, ideally in nonprofit, advocacy, or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated history of serving as a senior advisor to executive-level leaders.
- Systems-level mastery of how communications impacts culture, engagement, and business outcomes.
- Expertise in defining communications goals, benchmarks, and data-driven metrics.
- Full autonomy in managing large, complex work streams and stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional writing and content development skills for diverse audiences.
- Proven executive presence and ability to navigate sensitive, high-stakes organizational matters.
- Strong commitment to DEI with experience creating inclusive and accessible content.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the organization-wide internal communications strategy, including KPIs and success metrics.
- Prepare and counsel Executive Leadership Team members on internal communications and high-stakes situations.
- Own the production and editorial direction of internal newsletters and organizational communications channels.
- Lead content development for quarterly virtual All-Staff Meetings and annual in-person retreats.
- Partner with People & Culture to drive change management communications and employee experience initiatives.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all internal messaging and communication practices.
- Develop communications sequencing for organizational changes and restructurings, maintaining confidentiality and alignment with business goals.
