Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in the workers compensation insurance industry (Mid-Level).
- Minimum 7 years of related experience for Senior-Level roles.
- Prior experience in a Marketing or Underwriting role is preferred.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to quickly master proprietary and vended software applications.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to present information to management and public groups.
- Frequent travel within a specified territory is required.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute territory plans with effective travel schedules.
- Position BHHC as the market of choice by identifying new agency appointments and prospect opportunities.
- Monitor agency growth and profitability, developing improvement plans to address performance gaps.
- Manage agency partnerships to ensure growth goals and process appointments/terminations.
- Conduct in-person agency visits, prospect meetings, claims reviews, and stewardship meetings.
- Influence partnerships by educating agents on BHHC value proposition and target market opportunities.
- Participate in underwriting meetings to support new and large account production.
- Analyze and evaluate competitor information to develop actionable market strategies.
- Maintain accurate records, including producer profiles, business plans, and monthly reports.
