Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of hands-on corporate accounting or operational accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (US GAAP) and general ledger operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with cash reconciliations, expense processing, and multi-state/corporate compliance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet key monthly deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn modern accounting systems such as Sage Intacct.
Responsibilities
- Prepare indirect tax filings accurately and timely.
- Work with the company’s filing agent to ensure various state reports are filed accurately and timely.
- Manage the member reimbursement process, including processing physical checks and month-end reconciliations.
- Handle the company’s escheatment process.
- Clear daily cash transactions and prepare comprehensive month-end cash account reconciliations.
- Manage corporate credit card activity by coding and booking expenses and performing month-end reconciliations.
