Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Paralegal certification is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in legal case management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and client correspondence.
- Maintain and manage active case files to ensure all necessary documentation is available for attorneys and clients.
- Assist attorneys in the discovery process, including gathering evidence, summarizing documents, and organizing case-related materials.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, providing case updates and answering client inquiries with professionalism and compassion.
- Track important deadlines and manage the legal calendar for hearings, depositions, and administrative tasks.
- Assist in preparing exhibits and trial materials, ensuring everything is organized and ready prior to court appearances.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries or reports as needed by attorneys.
