Job Details

Experience: 2+ years of experience handling and settling bodily injury claims, including represented and unrepresented files (required)
Required Skills: Microsoft Office Suite

Have 2+ years of experience handling and settling bodily injury claims, including represented and unrepresented files.
Possess an active Florida All Lines Adjuster license.
Have a college degree or equivalent experience.
Maintain CEU credits required for the Florida All Lines Adjuster license.
Have excellent knowledge of tort law, bad faith procedures and case law, liability principles, and medical terminology.
Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrate strong time management, organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
Be able to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Captive Program experience is highly preferred.
Property experience is highly preferred.

Review new claim assignments and complete a Plan of Action within 24 hours.
Contact the insured or claimant within 24 hours of assignment.
Gather evidence, obtain statements, and determine injury status for people involved in crash investigations.
Assign appraisers or coordinate damage estimates, and assess whether estimates or appraisals are appropriate.
Communicate with clients, claimants, insureds, witnesses, other insurance adjusters, and defense counsel.
Record claim-related communications and activities in the claim system and set follow-up reminders.
Request payment authorization and follow client guidelines when denying or settling claims.
Report qualifying claims to excess carriers and obtain defense counsel status reports at 90-day intervals.
Run ISO ClaimSearch on injured claimants and enter information required for Medicare reporting.
Maintain a 95% claim closure ratio and meet continuing education requirements for licensure.
