Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written

  • Available to work during business hours Mountain time: Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Fridays 8:00-4:00pm

Responsibilities

  • Draft and file complaints
  • Send out service of process
  • Request scheduling conferences
  • Calendar scheduling order items
  • Schedule mediations
  • Provide telephonic client updates
  • Attend Transition to Litigation meetings
  • Speak to adjusters, defense attorneys, and others involved in litigation
  • Update clients with file materials
  • Work with legal assistant to e-file and e-serve court pleadings
  • Be familiar with state, local and federal rules
  • Post all costs
  • Draft and serve subpoenas
  • Compose discovery requests, answers/responses
  • Create and maintain a discovery index
  • Review defendant discovery responses/transcripts
  • Update case analysis with Defendant's policy limits
  • Set Depositions
  • Create motion/mediation and arbitration/exhibit binders
  • Complete background and asset checks
  • Complete attorney assignments
  • Draft correspondence and pleadings
  • Calendar all case information
  • Answer backup calls
  • Perform backup intake calls
  • Work with assigned staff to move cases to conclusion
  • Post all case information and litigation details in SmartAdvocate
  • Prepare for trial
  • Attend trial
  • Follow and maintain all firm policies and procedures
  • Contribute to client satisfaction and firm revenue goals
