Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing high-performance software development teams.
  • Experience managing teams through multiple successful product launches.
  • Proven track record of coaching and growing senior and staff individual contributors.
  • Strong full-stack technical background with solid system design expertise.
  • Comfort and experience with front-end development.
  • Experience building teams from the ground up, including hiring and performance management.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to prove performance and decisions with metrics.
  • Strong communication skills for managing stakeholders, peer managers, and organizational visibility.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools as a core part of engineering workflows.
  • Experience in fintech or banking industries (nice-to-have).
  • Hands-on experience with Rails, Kotlin, or React (nice-to-have).
  • Ability to write SQL to query business data (nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-velocity, high-quality full-stack engineering team.
  • Manage hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and promotions for senior ICs.
  • Drive alignment on architectural goals and ensure project deliverables align with the north star.
  • Partner with Product and Data Science teams to prioritize roadmaps and manage resources.
  • Review technical project plans and provide critical feedback to drive launches.
  • Oversee operational excellence, including uptime, reliability, and on-call health.
  • Integrate AI-assisted engineering practices into team workflows for planning, code review, and incident response.
