Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 6–15+ years of engineering, testing, or commissioning experience in electrical power systems.
- In-depth understanding of three-phase power systems and Protection & Control schemes.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, project execution, and technical client engagements.
- Proficiency with relay testing equipment and protection devices (GE, SEL, ABB, etc.).
- Experience with power system study tools such as ETAP, SKM, ASPEN, CAPE, or CYME.
- Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Strong knowledge of SCADA, RTU, and DFR systems.
- Ability to travel at least 25% to project sites.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to perform field work involving physical demands and varying environmental conditions.
Responsibilities
- Develop Protection & Control engineering design packages, including diagrams, logic, and relay settings.
- Perform relay coordination, short-circuit, load flow, arc flash, and power system studies.
- Lead technical project execution, providing direction to engineers, designers, and field personnel.
- Perform and witness functional testing of relays, SCADA systems, circuit breakers, and transformers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand technical and financial objectives.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, designers, and technicians on technical methods and industry practices.
- Analyze relay event reports, fault records, and oscillography to recommend corrective actions.
