Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in software development, including experience in a senior or technical leadership role.
- Strong, hands-on expertise in Java and backend application development.
- Proven, recent experience working with Elasticsearch in a production environment.
- Good practical knowledge of Angular, including the ability to develop and confidently review frontend code.
- Strong experience with SQL and practical exposure to Snowflake.
- Experience working with multiple systems, APIs and application integrations.
- Good understanding of application architecture, distributed systems and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and version control.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Good command of English.
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership of the development and evolution of modern, business-critical web applications.
- Design, develop and maintain backend services and application integrations using Java.
- Work hands-on with Elasticsearch in a production environment, including designing, implementing and reviewing search-related solutions.
- Contribute to frontend development using Angular and perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Work with Snowflake, SQL and multiple data sources to support application functionality and data integration.
- Act as a key technical reviewer for Java and Elasticsearch solutions and support high-quality engineering practices across the team.
- Participate in architectural and technical decision-making at the application level.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, data teams, product stakeholders and other technical teams.
