Requirements
- Extensive experience creating complex backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Lead Developer with responsibility for technical direction.
- Deep understanding of system architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Proven track record in analyzing and optimizing application performance and identifying bottlenecks.
- Experience in designing and developing distributed systems, integrations, and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of database design and communication optimization.
- Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining high technical quality standards.
- Ability to lead technological changes and modernize legacy systems without full rewrites.
- Strong communication skills for justifying technical decisions to stakeholders.
- Proactive, independent approach with willingness to take ownership of concepts.
- Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
- Experience with performance testing and profiling is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and leadership for the software solution.
- Evaluate and improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design and evolve distributed systems, integrations, and APIs.
- Lead code reviews to ensure technical standards and high code quality.
- Translate architectural concepts into clear, actionable work plans for the development team.
- Drive technical modernization and refactoring of existing systems.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to the development team.
- Make technical decisions balancing quality, performance, time-to-market, and business needs.
