Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production experience delivering full-stack applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript across Node.js backend and React frontend development.
- Practical experience working with document-oriented or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of building and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON-based contracts.
- Genuine interest in AI agents, MCP, and applied AI.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Familiarity with Anthropic, OpenAI, or other LLM provider SDKs.
- Exposure to MCP, agent frameworks, or applications incorporating LLM-powered functionality.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in regulated software environments such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GxP, or 21 CFR Part 11.
- Knowledge of Passport, OAuth, OIDC, or comparable authentication patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver end-to-end product features across Node.js and Express backends and React/Tailwind frontends.
- Build and maintain APIs, user interfaces, data flows, and supporting services for customer-facing functionality.
- Contribute to platform patterns related to data management, authentication, and service architecture.
- Integrate LLM-powered functionality into product experiences in collaboration with AI-focused engineering team members.
- Connect frontend applications with LLM and MCP endpoints while handling streaming responses, errors, and degraded states effectively.
- Contribute to AI evaluation workflows, fixtures, testing, and supporting development tools.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and the continuous improvement of shared engineering practices.
