Requirements
- Demonstrated experience owning a platform, API, developer product, or integrations platform.
- Proven track record of delivering metric-attached outcomes such as conversion, success rates, or reliability.
- Technical depth sufficient to collaborate with engineers on APIs, authentication, data models, and platform architecture.
- Experience managing relationships with external vendors or partners whose roadmaps you do not control.
- Experience making build-versus-buy decisions and holding vendors accountable for product outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure reliability, conversion, and product performance.
- Capability to turn technical requirements into a clear long-term product vision and strategy.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills across design, security, legal, and operations.
- Understanding of error taxonomies, failure recovery, observability, and operational load.
- Experience weighing growth objectives against fraud, risk, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set the long-term vision and strategy for how Wealthsimple connects with the broader financial ecosystem.
- Own the end-to-end experience for connecting external bank and brokerage accounts, including manual and automated flows.
- Improve connection success, reliability, and coverage by optimizing routing strategies across connectors like Plaid, Flinks, and internal solutions.
- Develop and manage the roadmap for Wealthsimple’s Public API, ensuring safe and efficient access to financial data.
- Balance product growth with security, fraud exposure, and operational load in partnership with risk and operations teams.
- Identify and prioritize partner integrations that provide the most value to clients.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, legal, and compliance to drive platform capabilities.
