Requirements
- Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, revenue integrity, hospital operations, coding, billing, or charge capture.
- Strong understanding of charge master management, coding/billing practices, reconciliation, and claim edits.
- Ability to interpret regulatory and coding changes and assess their operational and financial impact.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for investigating complex issues and root causes.
- Experience working with data, performance metrics, and analytical trends for process improvement.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to communicate complex findings and provide effective education to stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in an independent environment.
- Willingness to travel onsite for client activities when required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support charge master activities, including maintenance and alignment with coding and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory and code changes to evaluate their impact on charging practices and reimbursement.
- Analyze charge capture processes, work queues, claim edits, billing errors, and denials to identify improvement trends.
- Investigate root causes of charge inefficiencies and revenue leakage to develop corrective action plans.
- Conduct analytical trending and reporting to provide insights into revenue cycle performance.
- Evaluate charging practices and recommend process improvements for accurate charge capture.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and client leadership to strengthen revenue integrity.
- Provide education on revenue integrity best practices and charge capture methodologies.
