Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of hospital- or clinic-based revenue cycle experience with a focus on revenue integrity.
  • 5+ years of hospital-based billing, coding, and charge capture experience.
  • Deep knowledge of charge master components, CPT codes, HCPCS, revenue codes, and cost centers.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Epic Professional Billing (PB) and Hospital Billing (HB).
  • Experience with charge capture across pharmacy, radiology, surgery/anesthesia, and inpatient/outpatient settings.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement requirements, compliance standards, and payer guidelines.
  • Advanced skills in system optimization and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as HFMA, AAPC, CPC, or CRCT are desirable.
  • Epic HB/PB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate revenue integrity and charge capture activities, ensuring accurate and timely capture of chargeable services.
  • Manage the performance, productivity, and development of the Revenue Analyst team through coaching and feedback.
  • Analyze revenue cycle data, charge master configuration, and coding processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct charge capture assessments, audits, and root-cause analyses, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor compliance with state, federal, and payer billing requirements.
  • Maintain charge master processes, ensuring accurate CPT, HCPCS, and revenue code configurations.
  • Partner with Patient Financial Services, Finance, and Compliance to drive revenue management initiatives.
  • Support and enhance revenue cycle applications including Epic Resolute HB/PB and Craneware.
