Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in public affairs, policy communications, or strategic communications.
  • Significant experience within complex, high-visibility, politically sensitive environments.
  • Experience supporting state or federal legislative or regulatory initiatives.
  • Strong background in designing and executing integrated campaigns.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-program or cross-organizational strategy in matrixed settings.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to translate complex content into compelling narratives.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to align publication releases with strategic messaging.
  • Strong rapid response and crisis communications experience.
  • Goal- and metric-oriented mindset with experience using data to measure impact.
  • Executive presence and ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to travel 4 to 7 times per year.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Single-Threaded EaR Leader for Public Affairs.
  • Lead Integrated Policy and Research Communications Strategy.
  • Orchestrate the EaR Studio Model to align domain experts with program needs.
  • Leverage Intelligence and Foresight to anticipate risks and strengthen impact.
  • Drive Execution, Measurement, and Reporting across all priority initiatives.
