Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or healthcare preferred).
- Two or more years of experience in healthcare billing, Medicaid, managed care, or payer operations.
- Working knowledge of billing workflows, claim submission, and denial research.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies across complex billing data sets.
- Proficiency in Excel, specifically the ability to filter, sort, format, and reconcile data.
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet strict payer and compliance deadlines.
- Experience with EVV workflows and compliance monitoring preferred.
- Familiarity with HHAeXchange, Medflyt, or Sandata systems preferred.
- Knowledge of CDPAP, LHCSA, or SFC billing environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate claims or invoices to the appropriate payers, confirming eligibility and authorization.
- Review unpaid, delayed, rejected, or denied claims to determine and execute appropriate follow-up actions.
- Monitor EVV reports and dashboards to identify and correct missing visits, data mismatches, and validation errors.
- Research and resolve routine EVV visit exceptions and verify data processing with aggregators or payers.
- Reconcile EVV visit data against billing records to resolve discrepancies prior to and after claim submission.
- Coordinate with payers, state agencies, and internal teams to investigate and resolve billing or compliance issues.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and audit-ready records of all claim activities and corrections.
- Analyze billing and EVV reports to identify trends, compliance gaps, and potential improvements.
