Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer designing complex, fast-growing systems.
- Ability to write advanced SQL statements beyond basic SELECT/UPDATE.
- Experience shipping meaningful user-facing features to production.
- Strong product sense and ability to balance perfection with iterative delivery.
- Proficiency in scoping, prioritizing, and driving product rollouts.
- Experience in Python.
- Experience in PostgreSQL.
- Experience building SDKs.
- Experience with mobile app development and in-app purchases.
- Some experience with React and SPA applications.
- Ability to work effectively with AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
- Clear communication skills for both real-time and asynchronous collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features for developers and end-users.
- Manage systems that operate at large scale, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Drive projects from initial problem scoping through production rollout to long-term maintenance.
- Partner with the Product team to define roadmap and technical direction.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Mentor other engineers and provide thoughtful code review feedback.
- Collaborate with customers or support teams to understand system usage and resolve issues.
