Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling production backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and REST API development.
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL including data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with asynchronous systems and background processing (e.g., Celery, RabbitMQ).
- Proven ability to design service and API boundaries and weigh architectural trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience operating and debugging live production systems with modern observability tools.
- Ability to lead projects end-to-end and provide technical direction.
- Fluent in English and capable of working in a remote, multicultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the matching and bidding engine including ranking and pro-scoring logic.
- Manage complex financial transactions, subscriptions, and payment integrations with Stripe and ERP systems.
- Maintain system performance and stability within a Kubernetes/AWS environment.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team including frontend, mobile, QA, and product management.
- Own features end-to-end from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
- Perform code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members.
