Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrable local/SMB ranking results.
- Working knowledge of Ahrefs for keyword research, rank tracking, and competitor analysis.
- Competence in technical, on-page, local, and AI-driven SEO.
- Proven experience editing or directing content written by others.
- Genuine, current interest in AI-driven search and zero-click behavior.
- Ability to explain SEO impact to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable business results.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, contract-to-hire structure with limited infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate white label SEO vendors, making recommendations on contracts and scopes of work.
- Build and document standard operating procedures to transition SEO tasks in-house.
- Execute local SEO strategies including Google Business Profile optimization and map pack ranking.
- Develop and implement strategies for AI-driven search and answer engines.
- Direct and edit SEO content produced by writers and contractors to meet conversion goals.
- Act as an internal SEO consultant for web development builds.
- Track and report on performance trends using tools like Ahrefs and Local Falcon.
