Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
- Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (Required)
- Minimum of 7 years of related work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing people, processes, or projects
- Proven leadership experience in pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy
- Strong understanding of pharmacy medication utilization and cost containment strategies
- Proficiency in clinical performance measurement and quality improvement tools
- Excellent mentoring and team development skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and administrative partners
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for comprehensive oversight and accountability for pharmacy practice, medication use processes, and transitions of care.
- Empower, motivate, and provide mentorship for pharmacy leaders and staff.
- Evaluate current pharmacy practices, oversee development of new programs, and make recommendations based on need.
- Analyze medication utilization and cost trends to develop processes or programs that address identified issues.
- Assume overall responsibility for the financial performance, budgets, and business plans for all assigned areas.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and corporate standards.
- Provide guidance and oversight of the clinical aspects of the Specialty Patient Management Program.
