Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with true full-stack development expertise
- Demonstrated 0-to-1 architecture experience designing and delivering complex software systems
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and object-oriented design patterns
- Deep understanding of performance engineering, profiling, load testing, and real-time debugging
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, serverless architectures and event-driven design
- Experience with cloud-native technologies including AWS, Lambda, Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of database architecture and data modeling
- Experience designing secure authentication, authorization and identity architectures
- Strong knowledge of web and application security concepts including CORS and OWASP guidance
- Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Ability to lead architecture discussions and mentor senior engineers without formal management authority
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical architecture and long-term direction of Keeper’s browser extension platform
- Lead architectural design for complex browser-based features, shared services and cross-platform capabilities
- Establish patterns for secure communication between browser extension components, web applications, backend services and native integrations
- Ensure architectural decisions align with Keeper’s zero-knowledge and zero-trust security principles
- Lead architecture reviews, design reviews and technical standards across the Browser Extension engineering team
- Mentor senior engineers and help raise engineering quality, architecture discipline and technical decision-making across the team
- Collaborate with Security teams on threat modeling, secure design and remediation of security-sensitive browser functionality
