Requirements
- Substantial professional experience building and operating production backend services.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency, or strong proficiency in a comparably typed language.
- Demonstrated ownership of API contracts in a multi-service system.
- Cloud operations depth, including infrastructure design and infrastructure as code.
- Experience using Terraform on AWS.
- Release engineering depth, including building and maintaining continuous delivery pipelines.
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and own contracts between libraries and products using OpenAPI and typed message schemas.
- Build the discovery layer for search, relevance, and retrieval across large heterogeneous content libraries.
- Create and maintain continuous delivery pipelines for code, infrastructure, configuration, and data.
- Evolve engineering culture, standards, and best practices within the team.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
