Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in privacy, security, incident response, technology risk, or a related operational risk function.
  • Experience managing incident, issue, or risk workflows involving structured analysis, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong incident management capabilities and ability to communicate privacy risks effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading technical investigations in cloud-native environments.
  • Hands-on proficiency in SQL, Python, and data analysis tools such as Postgres, MongoDB, Airflow, Looker, or Snowflake.
  • Track record of building automation that reduces manual operational work.
  • Working knowledge of privacy regulations and frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, ePrivacy, DPIAs/PIAs, ROPA, data subject rights, and privacy controls.
  • Ability to develop and use generative AI responsibly with human oversight.
  • Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end Privacy Incident Management program, including notification workflows, escalation paths, process documentation, responder enablement, and opportunities for automation.
  • Serve as the primary incident lead and Incident Commander for privacy events, coordinating Privacy, Privacy Legal, security response, Product, Engineering, Communications, and other stakeholders through analysis, remediation, and follow-through.
  • Maintain on-call readiness for privacy incident triage, severity classification, urgent escalations, and appropriate routing of incidents.
  • Lead privacy incident retrospectives, track remediation actions and control gaps, and produce reporting on incident trends, remediation progress, and overall process health.
  • Build strong relationships across functions and geographies to improve privacy readiness, response quality, accountability, and coordination.
  • Support broader Privacy initiatives during lower-volume periods, including cross-functional programs, tooling improvements, and automation projects.
