Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and inventory/cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred.
- Experience with imported inventory, foreign manufacturers, and landed cost accounting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and supply chain partners.
Responsibilities
- Own inventory and COGS accounting in NetSuite across e-commerce, wholesale, and marketplace channels.
- Manage monthly inventory rollforwards and reconcile physical inventory counts and subledgers.
- Lead landed cost accounting for manufacturers, including components, labor, packaging, freight, and duties.
- Prepare and post journal entries for inventory, COGS, freight/duty accruals, prepaids, and reclasses.
- Execute month-end close tasks and ensure all accounts are accurately reflected in the financial statements.
- Partner with operations and logistics to ensure accurate tracking of receipts, shipments, and returns.
- Support audit processes with detailed schedules and maintain internal inventory controls.
- Serve as the primary NetSuite accounting resource for inventory workflows.
