Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years post-graduate consulting/operational experience in health policy.
- Extensive knowledge of Medicaid financing, managed care directed payments, and provider reimbursement structures.
- Experience interpreting CMS requirements, State Plan Amendments, and federal/state healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop dynamic financial models using large healthcare datasets.
- Experience working with claims datasets, cost reports, and public-use healthcare files.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex engagements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for executive and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership capabilities to mentor direct reports and manage team workloads.
- Experience with SQL or other querying languages is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled research and analytical tools is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex healthcare consulting engagements focused on Medicaid strategy, managed care, provider reimbursement, and healthcare policy.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders including CEOs, CFOs, and Medicaid directors.
- Develop and oversee sophisticated financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic scenario analysis.
- Interpret federal and state guidance, CMS rulings, and State Plan Amendments to provide actionable recommendations.
- Support proposal development, business growth, and the mentoring of junior team members.
- Ensure rigorous quality assurance for financial outputs and maintain compliance with data security requirements.
