Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience in biotech and/or corporate finance.
- BS and/or MBA.
- Track record of developing and executing on strategic initiatives to achieve long-term corporate vision.
- Top-notch financial, strategic planning, and business planning skills.
- Independent ability to prepare robust long-term financial models.
- Robust understanding of valuation and financial concepts including valuation methods and capital structure dynamics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executives.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with a fact- and data-driven decision making mentality.
- High energy with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience in leading change and a demonstrated ability to accomplish results.
- Ability to travel up to ~20% based on company need.
Responsibilities
- Lead Long Range Planning (LRP) process for Vera, working with financial leadership to set long-range strategic and financial objectives.
- Work closely with Finance & Accounting to support capital formation strategy for the business.
- Support activities related to investor relations and equity/debt/alternative financing.
- Prepare materials for IR events, including earnings releases, business updates, and investor events.
- Conduct industry research and synthesize insights to support corporate objectives.
- Aid Finance & Accounting leadership in cash runway analyses, budget and headcount planning, and cost effectiveness projects.
- Organize and manage special projects critical to long-term success.
- Develop and maintain highly productive relationships across the company.
