Requirements
- 4+ years of related professional experience.
- Experience building distributed and event-driven systems.
- Experience with microservice development.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in AI-assisted development tools and frameworks.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to improve velocity and automate boilerplate tasks while maintaining quality.
- Experience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Experience being on-call and driving operational improvements preferred.
- Prior experience in early-stage or high-growth startup environments preferred.
- Experience with high-reliability products in finance or healthcare preferred.
- Experience with Node.js and Kafka preferred.
Responsibilities
- Architect a high-throughput, distributed platform for patient data.
- Lead technical strategy for re-engineering core backend systems for scalability and fault tolerance.
- Drive zero-to-one architectural decisions during a growth phase.
- Mentor high-performing engineers and establish operational rigor.
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to define the engineering roadmap and product vision.
