Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data migration, data operations, or a technical implementation role within a SaaS environment.
- In-depth experience writing SQL from scratch, including complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, and output validation.
- In-depth understanding of relational databases, structured data formats, and data modeling concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Enterprise-level customer relationships from a detailed, technical perspective.
- Demonstrated experience serving as the go-to technical voice with customers, translating complex data topics into clear, actionable guidance.
- Proficiency mentoring and coaching others on SQL, data practices, and migration methodology.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, conditional formatting, data cleansing).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent complex projects.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Experience with ETL pipeline concepts and automation tools like dbt or Airflow (preferred).
- Experience with cloud data infrastructure (AWS S3, Redshift, RDS) (preferred).
- Experience with version control tools such as Git (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of data migration projects: requirements gathering, extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and go-live support.
- Analyze complex legacy data structures and design migration approaches that account for system-level impacts within First Due's architecture.
- Author advanced SQL to extract, join, and transform disparate data from various customer source formats.
- Solve novel migration challenges including multi-system consolidations and non-standard data structures.
- Execute quality assurance on deployed data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Translate customer operational models and legacy data structures into actionable First Due migration strategies.
- Serve as the technical lead during customer conversations involving data scope, feasibility, and constraints.
- Mentor junior analysts on query construction, data modeling, and migration best practices.
- Contribute to ETL pipeline initiatives, automation, and AI-assisted workflow development.
